Applications for ProjectArt’s 2026–2027 Teaching Artist Residency in Detroit are open for emerging contemporary artists.
ProjectArt is an award-winning emerging artists teaching residency that places contemporary artists in public libraries nationally to teach paid after-school classes while continuing to build their own work. It’s a space where teaching, studio practice, and community engagement actively inform each other, supported by professional development, honorarium, our artist network and a culminating group exhibition.
For contemporary artists interested in expanding their practice through impact and public engagement, this is a rare opportunity to do both at a high level. Learn more about ProjectArt Resident Artists.
