Applications are open for the Detroit Creative Futures program!
Program Overview: Detroit Creative Futures is a 10-session business development program built to help Detroit’s creative entrepreneurs strengthen the business side of their creative work. The program is presented by ProsperUs Detroit in partnership with Design Core Detroit, and powered by the Gilbert Family Foundation.
Over the course of the program, participants will dig into the essentials of running a sustainable creative business, including:
- Pitching and business storytelling
- Legal and business fundamentals
- Pricing and financials
- Contracts and proposals
- Marketing and sales strategy
- Market research
- Business planning and growth
- Insights from industry experts
Who Should Apply: This program is a great fit for Detroit-based creative entrepreneurs who’ve been in business for at least a year and are already generating revenue from their creative products, services, or artistic practice — including designers, visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, filmmakers, photographers, and creative makers.
