Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) worked with PLAYGROUND DETROIT to manage a site-specific commissioned project to enhance the tent walls in the park, curating artwork illustrations by Meredith Miotke, to dress the walls of the Campus Martius tents throughout the Winter in the Parks 2018 season.
The park welcomes more than 1 million people each winter season between December and March and serves as the ideal location to gather with family and enjoy a variety of winter events and activities.
The project is funded by the Creative Chamber grant from the Michigan Economic Development
Corporation’s (MEDC) Michigan Film and Digital Media Office (MFDMO). The goals of this grant are to
attract and retain creative talent to Michigan. Specifically, this grant is intended to attract and retain
creative talent to Detroit, Michigan.
