Join us for the Closing Reception of “Female Gaze,” and view over 30+ female artists will honor the art of self-representation and perspectives.
Organized by curator and gallerist Paulina Petkoski, this exhibition will highlight fresh and authentic portrayals of women through their own lenses, reclaiming the power of representation from the traditional “male gaze.”
The term “female gaze” was coined by feminists in response to Laura Mulvey’s essay “Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema” (1975).
